Union Day in Myanmar on February 12 is a national holiday. The holiday commemorates the signing and passage of the Panglong Accords that unified Burma in 1947.
In theory, the agreement recognized total freedom of governance for the border areas and stipulated that the Constituent Assembly would create a Kachin state.
The Panglong Accord was signed in Panglong, southern Shan State, between the Burmese government of Aung San and the Shan, Kachin and Chin peoples on February 12, 1947.
Bo Hmu Aung, Sir Maung Gyi, Dr. His Mya Maung and Myoma U Than Kywe were among the negotiators at the historic Panglong Conference negotiated in 1947 with Bamar leader General Aung San and other ethnic leaders. It continued the financial ties established between the Shan States and the Burmese federal government and provided for similar arrangements for the Kachin Hills and the Chin Hills.

Kamen leider noch 12,28€ Zollgebühren und Auslagepauschale von DHL hinzu. Ansonsten sehr freundlicher Verkäufer und 1A Ware.
