Interesting bi-metallic type with cardinal Raul Silva Henriquez (1907-1999) in nice condition. Recently with the help of this coin the main types of the emission were discovered and basic classification was introduced.

Die 1 - bowed portrait with signature on the right truncation of shoulder.

Die 2 - straight portrait with signature.

Die 3 - straight portrait without signature, bold script of REPUBLICA DE CHILE.

Die 4 - straight portrait without signature, fine script of REPUBLICA DE CHILE.



Reverse


Die B - numeral '5' in denomination with serif at horizontal bar, wide leaves in wreath.
Die B - numeral '5' in denomination without serif at horizontal bar, narrow leaves in wreath.

Edge

Type a - 23.5 grooves/cm.

Type b - 27 grooves/cm.
