sehr guter Zustand, geringe Gebrauchs- und Alterungsspuren: Einband teils leicht verschmutzt - Seiten sauber und ordentlich, Questa seconda raccolta di strutture, scelte fra quelle per me più interessanti, costituisce il proseguimento dell'analoga pubblicazione che copre il periodo 1958-1968 e persegue lo stesso scopo di evidenziare la mia evoluzione nel campo della progettazione strutturale e per testimoniare il lavoro delle imprese che mi hanno dimostrato stima e fiducia anche per realizzare idee spesso inconsuete. Nel periodo in cui sono state costruite le strutture illustrate ha assunto un ruolo di supporto sempre più importante l'uso dell'elaboratore per il controllo numerico del progetto strutturale che sarà, comunque, sempre basato sulla intuizione ed anche sulla fantasia. Nel 1976 ho fondato la società Redesco s.r.l. con lo scopo di ottenere, a supporto della progettazione, elaborati grafici e di calcolo adeguatamente avanzati. Pur potendo fruire di questo valido mezzo, a volte indispensabile, ho preferito ricercare per nuovi problemi la soluzione teorica allo scopo di meglio comprendere quali siano i parametri dominanti. Si sono anche gradualmente imposti i metodi di calcolo agli stati limite che consentono una migliore conoscenza del reale comportamento delle strutture; l'analisi non lineare è stata necessaria nei molti casi in cui i rapporti dimensionali di alcuni componenti o dell'intero sistema sono risultati critici. I problemi costruttivi hanno avuto importanza sempre più grande e, in questo campo, la tecnologia è ancora suscettibile di grandi sviluppi; il progetto strutturale ed il metodo di costruzione sono sempre stati ideati contemporaneamente e la collaborazione in questo campo con le imprese è divenuta molto stretta. Si è resa necessaria inoltre una sempre più profonda conoscenza del comportamento dei materiali vecchi e nuovi, per poterli impiegare nel modo migliore. La continua ricerca in tutti questi campi è appassionante ed è stata il filo conduttore comune al progetto di tutte le strutture illustrate. "This second collection of structures, selected among those I deem to be the most interesting, pursues the same aim of a previous, similar publication covering the years from 1958 to 1968. It is meant to be a reference for my own evolution in the field of structural design as well as a tribute to the firms that have trusted me, especially in the realization of unusual ideas. Over the past years, computers have played an increasingly important role in the numerical control of structural projects, that, nevertheless, will remain based upon intuition and even imagination. In 1976 I set up a company, Redesco ltd. , with the aim of supplying adequately advanced graphic and calculation printouts as a support to designing. Even though I could make constant use of these helpful and sometimes essential means, I preferred to find myself the theoretical solution to new problems so that I could better detect the prevailing parameters. The limit state design has gradually become more important, thus providing further information on the real behaviour of the structures. Non-linear analysis was necessary in the frequent cases in which the dimensional ratios of some components or those of the whole system were critical. Construction problems have become more and more relevant and technology in this field is bound to make significant advances. Structural design and construction methods were always conceived simultaneously and the cooperation with the builders in this field has become very close. Finally, it is essential to widen the knowledge on the behaviour of new and old materials, if the best use of them is to be made.
