Interesting coin in beautiful condition with lovely imitation of koruru struck by Royal Canadian Mint. Koruru is a carved mask, made by local Maori peoples in different areas. The image on the Rev., is not connected with any of them, it is just an imitation based on the real masks. The new type of Obv. with low relief and wiry hair, bushy eyebrow was already described long time ago.
