Interesting uncommon type in attractive condition with sharp details. It depicts the portrait of Honore V left with legend: HONORE V PRINCE DE MONACO //BORREL F. Here "F" stands for "fecit" ("made by") next tot he signature of Maurice Borrel. "Letter "M" on reverse makrs the mint in Monaco, thus this coin was minted locally. It was many years later, that the Monaco coins were minted in Paris (France). There were 4 varieties in the first year of the issue, 1837: with large and small protrait as well as in copper and bronze. This coin is of variety in copper with small protrait.
