Interesting early issue with Lincoln (1809-1865) and Lincoln Memorial in nice condition. The 1970S is not the simplest in circulation due to hoarding practice those days. The mint authorities combating it by sending the coins far away from states, where the hoarding was common. Variety with large date. The repunching of mintmark is widely known and already cataloged. Just a few different repunchings are known in 1970S, they are under thorough scope of Variety vista site varietyvista.com/02b%20LC%20RPMs%20Vol%202/RPMs%201970S.htm. This coin represents previous mark "S" beautifully visible under the new one "S" a bit down, or as specialists say, "south". See the enlargement fragment with arrow pointing to the traces of previous mark. This outstanding type is not in the catalog and thus it is unpublished, being this coin a discovery coin.
