Standing Helvetia with lance and shield within 23 and not 22 stars border of medal alignment in attractive condition! Interesting coin representing the base of one of the most stable and reliable world currency. Recently main groups of emission with the help of this very coin were found.
Obverse
Die 1 - 23 small stars, HELVETIA with small serifs, A to HELVETIA narrow.
Die 2 - 23 large stars, HELVETIA with big serifs, A to HELVETIA wide.
Reverse
Die A from model 1850 - at the top of the wreath an oak leaf without cutout. In use from 1850 till 1982.
Die B - reengraved, at the top of the smaller wreath an oak leaf with cutout, midribs made by wide well defined lines.
