Interesting commemorative type in lovely condition struck by Franklin Mint in Pennsylvania. It is dedicated to 25th anniversary of the UN, organized by the Great Britain, the USSR and the USA. On the Obv. the monument "Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares" with nude blacksmith is depicted next to the mint mark "FM". Recently with the help of this item the two types of Rev. were discovered.

Die A - in Russian without mistake ОБЪЕДИНЕНЫЕ.

Die B - in Russian double typo ОЬЬЕДИНЕНЫЕ.



This item was struck with interesting die B (see enlargement). It represents the fact that it was struck in Pennsylvania, where not many people know Russian and when double spelling mistake appeared it passed unnoticed out.
