Interesting coin of early year in attractive condition depicted Phoenix Hall of Showa (1926-1989). Emperor Hirohito's (1926-1989) reign under the era name Showa(=enlightened peace) was the longest in the whole Japanese history. Phoenix being the bird reborn from black ash represents the description of total solar eclipse and its idea is cultural borrowing from prehistoric times. Recently with the help of this coin the basic classification of the emission was developed.


Obverse

Die 1 - the side pavilions stay on narrow stones, they have the rounded top under the small ball of the roof, horizontal bar under the vertical lines under it, the central pavilion with stones of elongated shape in three horizontal rows connects with the right pavilion by sloped bar.

Die 2 - the side pavilions stay on narrow stones, they have the squared top under the small ball of the roof, the windows at the bottom of vertical lines under it, the central pavilion with stones of different shapes connects with the right pavilion by sloped bar.

Die 3 - all details larger, the side pavilions stay on wide stones, they have the wide rectangular top under the large ball of the roof, the windows at the bottom of vertical lines under it, the central pavilion with stones of larger size and different shapes connects with the right pavilion by stone.


This coin is attributed as die 1.
