Interesting example of the coinage. Right before the Second World War started Slovaks were pushed by Germany to declare the first independence in the history of the territory and later being a puppet state its troops participated in invasions to Poland and the USSR. Minting of coins was obvious the next step of worldwide acceptance of the sovereignty of the country. Though the first emission included 5, 10 and 20 hellers with 1 crown, in practice the currency reform was conducted very quick and a gap was reveled quickly: the necessity of so small denomination as 5 heller was overestimated and though being issued in 1000000 pcs the coin practically was rare in circulation.
