The first 2 euro coinage of Cyprus was minted in Finland starting from 2007 and being the first had to be large in quantities. This large mintage is the reason to expect varieties. And they were found. These dies are intriguingly differ by details.

Die A - thick inscription, stars and other images.

Die B - thin inscription, stars and other images.

The most prominent difference is it the style of impressions in pubic area of the idol: it is shown almost like pit on die A and less deep with sloping edges on die B. It was a kind of a riddle to understand, why it took months to discover the dies. When the dies were determined, the occurrence was estimated. The explanation came from the occurrence of die A: it is less than 1:100. Interesting coin in nice condition. The other coin is added free for your reference.
