An allegorical figure of Liberty in flight holding a torch in her left hand. Below the figure the is the crowned Savoy Shield of Vittorio Emanuele III (1900-1946). Interesting coin in attractive condition struck in Rome. Recently main types of the emission were discovered and basic classification was introduced.


Obverse

Die 1 - awn from the bottom left grain long, long front top lock.

Die 2 - awn from the bottom left grain short and connects with the next one, short front top lock.



Reverse

Die A - dot after thin "C" high.

Die B - dot after thin "C" low.

Die C - "C" thick.



This coin was struck with dies 2+A and it is the only known transitional year and combination from 1+A to 2+B.
