Interesting scalloped issue (1942-1946) of George V coinage of the type in nice condition struck in London. During the Second World War nickel was used for other purposes, as the result the metal composition was changed and the coins became bronze instead of copper-nickel. The less frequent occurrence of 1942 is explained by local numismatic community that the ship with most of its mintage sank on her way to Cyprus during the war.
