Interesting early issue with Lincoln (1809-1865) and with signature of engraver in collectible condition struck at Denver. Issues from 1944 to 1946 used brass made from spent wartime shell casings which were composed of 70% copper and 30% zinc. As a consequence, such issues are made of 95% copper and 5% zinc. The year 1946 was the first of the small mintmark with bold left side at the bottom (1946-1953).
